Ba defeats Dreketi 1-0

Ba now has a chance of qualifying for the semifinal of the INKK Mobile Battle of the Giants after beating Dreketi 1-nil at Subrail Park this afternoon.

The lone goal in the match was scored by Remueru Takiate in the 44th minute of the first half.

Ba now has four points and Manager Arvind Singh says it was a very tough game and they want to maintain this peformance against Lautoka tomorrow.

Meanwhile, Dreketi is the first team to be out of the tournament.

They had two good attempts to score but Ba goal keeper Masiwani Nairube brilliantly saved the goals.

Dreketi coach Johan Leewai says they hope the players play a good game against Rewa tomorrow.

Meanwhile the match between Nadi and Suva has kicked off with both teams locked at nil-all.

In other games, Labasa will take on Rakiraki at 4pm with the last game of the day between Lautoka and Rewa at 6pm.
