With 44 days to go for the Pacific Games in Papua New Guinea, Team Fiji needs more financial sponsors to make its target of $2.3 million.

Bank of the South Pacific today presented a $70,000 cheque to FASANOC to assist in Team Fiji’s preparations for the Pacific Games in July.

FASANOC President, Joe Rodan says they will take a total of 452 athletes and need to raise their target to send the team over to PNG.

The government earlier presented a $300,000 cheque to FASANOC.

Rodan says they are still waiting for another $300,000 from the government to assist them.

He also hopes that corporate houses and the people of the country will also come forward to assist Team Fiji.

The Pacific Games will be held from the 4th to the 18th of July in Papua New Guinea.
