Australia's Cricket World Cup match against Bangladesh was abandoned yesterday without a ball being bowled.
Heavy rain generated from Cyclone Marcia and the subsequent tropical low pressure system swamped Brisbane on Friday and persisted again on Saturday, meaning no play was possible.
The match was scheduled to officially start at 12.30pm yesterday.
The International Cricket Council has advised that ticket holders for the match are entitled to a full refund as there are no reserve days for pool matches.
Meanwhile, the West Indies beat Pakistan after they secured a crushing 150‑run victory and their first win of the World Cup.
In ICC Cricket World Cup matches today, Afghanistan will meet Sri Lanka at 10am while India will face South Africa at 1.30pm.
