Former Wallabies captain Phil Waugh has ignited the fuse claiming the All Blacks are vulnerable and are not settled ahead of the World Cup like they were four years ago.
Waugh made this comments after the All Blacks’ rusty start to The Rugby Championship where they escaped a 20‑16 victory against Argentina and suffered a shock 16 all draw at home against the Springboks.
The former Wallabies captain says that the All Blacks should have closed that game with a 16-9 lead but they did not, which gave a last minute try to the Springboks to draw the match.
He says Beauden Barrett was not very accurate with his kicking in that game either.
He thinks that the All Blacks are not as nearly as dominant as they were.
Waugh stated they also got some selection issues such as trying out two first five with Richie Mo’unga in at 10 and Beauden Barrett at full back.
Waugh believes it’s the improvement at the scrum which can hold them in good stead at this year’s Rugby World Cup.
The All Blacks will take on the Wallabies at 9.45pm Saturday while South Africa will face Argentina at 7.40am Sunday.
