Joshua made his assessment during a documentary aired on Sky Sports in the UK.
Asked on AJ: The Untold Truth how he lost to Ruiz in New York in June, Joshua said: "By a lucky punch. By a punch sent by the gods."

Andy Ruiz Jr put Anthony Joshua on the canvas four times before their New York fight was eventually stopped by the referee.
He used the documentary to turn things against Ruiz, suggesting his opponent was slow to go for the killer blow in what became one of boxing's biggest upsets.

Joshua floored Ruiz in the third round but then got hit to the canvas himself twice in the same round, a battering he never recovered from.
He said that he does not know what concussion is, but for sure, after the fight he didn't know what round the fight was stopped.
Joshua will take on Ruiz on December 7th in Saudi Arabia.
