Twenty five men's teams, two Under 20 teams and two women's teams have confirmed their spot for the 44th Fiji Bitter Marist 7s tournament next month.

President of the Marist Rugby Club Lawrence Tikaram says forty eight teams will compete in the men's division, twelve teams will compete in the Under 20 division while eight teams will compete in the women's division.

Tikaram says they have minimised the number of men's teams this year to incorporate more youth and women's team in the competition.

Players such as Jerry Tuwai, Livai Ikanikoda, Meli Derenalagi, Semi Kunatani and many others have gone through this competition.

Some teams that have confirmed their places are defending champions Police, Tabadamu, Ratu Filise, Army, and First Light Taveuni.

The Marist 7s will be from the 19th to the 21st of next month.
