Five players from the Fiji Junior Bati team have been offered contracts while on their current tour in Australia.
Coach Meli Baleidrokadroka confirms that they have received the paper work from some of the big clubs in the NRL and will decide later about the scholarships and contracts.
Last night, the Junior Bati’s played two games against the Canberra Raiders Development and the ACT Development.
The Junior Bati drew 32-all with the Raiders development and beat ACT 24-14 in their second game.
Baleidrokadroka says some of the players who have been eyed by the scouts include Natabua High School student Jonathan Vucago who plays lock, Ra High School student Ilaisa Bete who plays wing and captain Viliame Vuloko from Ba Provincial Free Bird Institute.
The Junior Bati will now travel back to Sydney to play the Newcastle Knights Development and the Central Coast Select next week.
