Four players with links to Fiji have been named in the New Zealand 7s team to defend the Rugby World Cup title next weekend.
All Blacks 7s coach Clark Laidlaw has named Jona Nareki, Salesi Rayasi, Joe Ravouvou and Akuila Rokolisoa in his side.
The other players including Kurt Baker, Dylan Collier, Scott Curry (captain), Trael Joass, Andrew Knewstubb, Tim Mikkelson (captain), Sione Molia and Regan Ware.
Laidlaw said the unique nature of the knock out competition contributed to it being a difficult squad to select.
No team has ever won back to back World Cup titles since it's started and Laidlaw says that he has talked about this to his players as they aim to be the first team to win back to back World Cup title.
The All Blacks Sevens will play the winner of Russia vs Hong Kong in their first match next Saturday at 3.31pm.
