Three Scotland players, including captain Danny Brough, have been dropped from their Rugby League World Cup squad after being deemed too drunk to board a flight.
Brough, Sam Brooks and Johnny Walker remained in New Zealand while the rest of the players flew to Cairns in Australia for this week’s final pool game against Samoa.
Scotland Rugby League chairman Keith Hogg says these players have not adhered to the standards of behaviour.
The final round of Rugby League World Cup pool matches will kick off on Friday when the Vodafone Fiji Bati face Italy at 9.40pm.
New Zealand face Tonga at 5pm Saturday while Samoa and Scotland meet 8pm Saturday.
Australia will play Lebanon at 10pm Saturday.
