12 teams have confirmed their participation for tomorrow’s Fiji National Rugby League Nines Tournament that will be held at the Bukhurst and Bidesi Grounds.
FNRL Executive Chairman, Peni Musunamasi says the Nines Tournament tomorrow is the beginning of a series of tournaments to select players who will represent Fiji in the upcoming Pacific Games in Samoa next year.
Teams that will be participating tomorrow include, Vodafone Cup defending champions, Sabeto Roosters, Nadera Panthers and Topline Warriors who have produced players like the Qionimacawa brothers and Kelepi Komaisavou.
Other teams include, Coastline Ross, Namuaniwaqa Sea Eagles, USP Raiders 1 and 2, Kinoya Sea Eagles 1 and 2 Nausori Bulldogs, City Storm and Davuilevu Knights.
The winner of the tournament will receive $1000, runners up will receive $500 while the losing semifinalists will receive $250 each.
Meanwhile, Musunamasi says that the next Nines Tournament in November will be held in Nadi to cater for clubs in the West.
