11 Flying Fijians to play for Fiji Airways Drua against Melbourne Rising

Eleven flying Fijians will play for the Fiji Airways Drua against Melbourne Rising in the opening match of Australia’s National Rugby Championship at Ratu Cakobau Park this Saturday.

Coach Senirusi Seruvakula says there is also a lot of depth in the bench this year with Serupepeli Vularika and Enele Malele set to make their debut.

The game will also see the return of Johnny Dyer and Poasa Waqanibau to Fiji Rugby.

The front row includes Eroni Mawi, Tuvere Vugakoto Veremalua and Luke Tagi while the locks are Peni Naulago and Albert Tuisue.

Filimone Seru and Mosese Voka are the flankers with Eremasi Radrodro at number 8.

Frank Lomani starts at halfback while Alivereti Veitokani starts at number 10.

The starting backline also includes Levani Kurumudu, Cyril Reece, Poasa Waqanibau, Avete Daveta and Apisalome Waqatabu.

The Fijian Drua will face Melbourne Rising at 3pm this Saturday at Ratu Cakobau Park and you can catch the live commentary on  Viti FM on 92.2FM.

The curtain raiser match will be between the Fiji Legends against the Classic Wallabies at 2pm.
