Two Fiji Under 23 soccer team players have been fined $10,000 each and have been suspended from all levels of football until next season.

The Fiji Football Association board was forced to take the action after Lautoka defender, Kolinio Sivoki and Sakaraia Naisua of Suva, broke curfew while in camp with the Fiji Olympic Football team.

The Fiji FA board took into account the losses encountered by them following its investment into the two players.

Fiji FA’s Chief Executive Officer, Bob Kumar says they spent a lot of money and invested resources into their preparation for the Olympics which all went to waste.

The new Fiji FA season will begin with the Courts Inter‑District Championship in October and the two players will only be eligible to play if the full amount is paid to Fiji FA.

Meanwhile, in the Inkk Mobile BOG, Labasa will take on Suva in the first semifinal at 2pm while defending champions Rewa will face Lautoka at 4pm in the second semifinal this Saturday.

The final will be played at 3pm Sunday and you can catch the live commentaries of the semifinals and final on Radio Sargam on 103.4 FM.
