Fiji Airways Flying Fijians veteran and fullback, Kini Murimurivalu says it is one of the best achievements in his life and a blessing to be part of the Rugby World Cup for the third time.
Murimurivalu says his aim to be part of a Rugby World Cup squad began in 2007 when he and his friends were boarding in Queen Victoria School and the Fiji team nearly defeated South Africa in the quarterfinals.
He says that the game was so special as they did the unthinkable by scoring two back to back tries against favorites, South Africa.
He adds training this week was all about polishing up the mistakes and weaknesses during the Pacific Nations Cup.
Murimurivalu is one of the five players that will be taking part in their third Rugby World Cup this year including Captain Dominiko Waqaniburotu, Vereniki Goneva, Campese Ma’afu and Olympian Leone Nakarawa.
Fiji will face Tonga on the 31st of this month before taking on the Wallabies in their first pool game on the 21st of next month at 4.45pm.
Fiji is pooled with Australia, Wales, Georgia and Uruguay.
The Rugby World Cup will be held from the 20th of next month to the 2nd of November.
