The Fiji Airways Men’s National 7s team is looking at two to three different game plans as they approach their pool matches in the London 7s this weekend.
Fiji have been drawn with Cape Town and Las Vegas finalists Argentina, double London winners Scotland and Commonwealth champions New Zealand.
Three teams, with three entirely different approaches to the game of sevens.
Coach Gareth Baber says that Argentina have an intensity without the ball, they look to go hard at their opponents early in attack and defence.
He adds that Scotland will create width on the game with good passing skills and coming onto the ball with pace and power while New Zealand will always go toe‑to‑toe with Fiji.
Meanwhile the final squad is expected to be named today.
Fiji’s first pool match of the London 7s will be against Argentina at 10.20pm Saturday.
The national side will take on Scotland in their second pool match at 2.26am Sunday and then face New Zealand at 4.32am Sunday in their final pool match.
The cup quarterfinals will start at 9.58pm Sunday while the cup semifinals will kick off at 1.48am next Monday.
The cup final is at 4.57am next Monday.
