Babasiga boys to make comeback to the Fiji Muslim Sports IDC which will kickoff this saturday after many years

For the first time in many years the Babasiga boys will be making a comeback to the Fiji Muslim Sports Vodafone Sponsored IDC which will kickoff at Ratu Cakobau Park this Saturday.

Tournament Organizing Committee Chairman Javed Ahmed says defending Champions Ba led by Ba rep Mohammed Shazil are also  looking strong to defend their title.

Ahmed adds Lautoka will look to Ba reps Abu Zahid and National team player Zibraaz Sahib to lead the side while Nadi rep Alfaz Ali will lead Nadi in the tournament.

He says Rewa will be boosted by reps Nigel Ali and Abbas while Nasinu will also field a strong team.

The top eight teams from the IDC will qualify for the International Club Championships which will be held in Nadi after the Fiji FA Courts IDC.

The quarterfinals will be held this Sunday while the semifinals and finals will be held on next Monday.

Sixteen teams will be taking part in the three day tournament.

Ahmed has also thanked sponsors Vodafone Fiji for coming on board again this year to support the event.
