Former CEO of Water Authority of Fiji Opetaia Ravai at court

Opetaia Ravai has taken the Water Authority of Fiji to court for unfair and unjust dismissal.

Ravai’s contract as the Chief Executive Officer of Water Authority of Fiji was discontinued in December last year.

Lawyer Simione Valenitabua who is representing Opetaia Ravai informed the Suva High Court today that they will file a writ of summons and will withdraw the originating summons.

The Water Authority of Fiji was served with the summons yesterday.

At the time Ravai’s contract was discontinued, the Water Authority of Fiji Board had said that they have some major water projects in the new year and they would like a CEO with vast engineering and technical background.
