Vision Investments Limited wins SPSE Listed Company of the Year Award

Vision Investments Limited has won Listed Company of the Year Award at the South Pacific Stock Exchange Awards night.

Vision Investments Limited made a before tax profit of $22.8m for 2017/2018 financial year.

Companies that fall under Vision Investments Limited Group are Courts Fiji, SportsWorld, Vision Motors and Mahogany Industries.

While officiating at the awards last night at the Grand Pacific Hotel, Acting Prime Minister, Aiyaz-Sayed Khaiyum says that for a country like Fiji it is very critical that we become more clever, a lot more innovative and a lot more smarter in the way we sustain economic growth.

Sayed‑Khaiyum has stressed that this provides ordinary Fijians another means of investing, it allows ordinary moms and dads to buy shares.

The Acting Prime Minister has also acknowledged the South Pacific Stock Exchange for having their awards to recognize individuals and companies that invest and contribute to Fiji's thriving economy.

Sayed-Khaiyum also highlighted that Fiji will for the first time be hosting the World Stock Exchange Meeting in 2020.

Meanwhile, awards presented last night were categorised into Annual Report Awards, Grand Awards and the SPSE National Essay Competition.

Under the Grand Awards, Fiji Stockbrokers Limited were awarded the Stockbroking Company of the Year, Helava Muliaina of Suva Muslim College and Ca Kie Zong of Yat Sen Secondary School were awarded first place in Category 1 and Category 2 respectively  of the SPSE National Essay Competition.

Grand Awards:

Enterprising Achiever of the Year Award: Waisale Iowane of Freebird Institue.

Listed Company Achiever of the year: Niraj Bhartu

Stock Broker Personality of the Year: Neezarat Ali of Kontiki Finance.

Annual Report awards:

Best Design and Presentation by a Listed Company: Free Bird Institue.

Best Design and Presentation by an Unlisted Organisation: Fiji National Provident Fund.

Qaulity Content by a Listed Company: Fijian Holdings Limited.

Quality Content by an Unlisted Organisation: Reserve Bank of Fiji.

Special Award for a Listed Company: Bank of the South Pacific.

Special Award for an Unlisted Organisation: Frank Hilton Organisation.
