Traffic along the Suva to Nausori corridor.

The flow of traffic will be affected as roadworks will be carried out along the Suva to Nausori corridor.

Fiji Roads Authority has confirmed that part of the Kings Road between the Laqere traffic lights to the Makoi traffic lights will be reduced to a single lane from 9.30am to 4 pm and 6 pm to 6 am till the end of this month.

The lane going from Suva to Nausori will be closed while the lane coming from Nausori to Suva will accommodate the traffic.

This has caused a major traffic jam.

A resident has confirmed that it took him an hour and a half to reach Laqere from Nakasi.

FRA has confirmed that this is part of the Suva Arterial Road Upgrading Project.

The Authority is urging the public to take the alternative routes to Sawani.

The works are expected to finish by the end of this month should the weather permit.
