NGO based in California donates school stationeries to about 50 schools in Fiji

About 50 schools in Viti Levu and Vanua Levu have been assisted from the Samaaj Sewa of Fiji USA in providing them with bag packs.

Samaaj Sewa of Fiji USA is a non‑government organisation based in San Jose, California working in partnership with the Ministry of Education in assisting needy children in the country with their school stationary.

Founder, Parma Sharma says they arrived in the country last week and they have been assisting needy children with uniforms, shoes, writing books and bag packs.

He says they have been assisting schools in the country in the last 9 years and are hoping to return next year and visit maritime schools to assist students.
