Miss Fiji pageant launched in Nadi

The Miss Fiji pageant was launched at Prince Charles Park to identify the nation’s next representative to the Miss Pacific Islands pageant.

The first national Miss Fiji pageant brings together 10 reigning Queens from the country’s two cities and eight townships to contend for the Miss Fiji title.

At the launch of Miss Fiji Pageant, Chairman Hirdesh Prasad says the contestants were introduced at public event with the theme “A celebration of diversity and unity in moving Fiji forward”. 

Prasad says the pageant is a platform to create awareness on different aspects of country as well as to reaffirm our nationhood that is made up of Fijians from different cultures.

The official Miss Fiji pageant will host events from the 17th to 24th of October as part of the festival program.
