Acting Prime Minister Aiyaz Sayed‑Khaiyum says it is very important that we make up our minds and keep in our hearts that we never want the harmony in Fiji to change.

While officiating at a Kirtan competition at Narere Primary School, Sayed-Khaiyum said a  lot of people who come to Fiji say that the harmony that we have and that we live in is something that’s quite unique and we should change it.

He says that our society is a lot more open now and everybody has been given equal rights so we should also contribute in the same manner to our country.

Sayed‑Khaiyum stressed that we have been given the opportunity and we should contribute.

He says that we should look after our own people, those in the society that are poor, those who have been widowed, and those that have been orphaned.

Sayed‑Khaiyum says that obviously government is providing a lot of services in that respect but we should also work together.

He says that is obviously the beauty of Fiji.
