Flying Fijians climb to highest position of 8th in latest World Rugby Rankings released today

The Fiji Airways Flying Fijians have climbed to their highest position of eighth in the latest World Rugby Rankings released today.

Fiji jumped from 10th to 8th place after their 21-14 win over France over the weekend.

This tops off a wonderful 12 months for Fiji Rugby as the World Rugby Pacific Challenge and World Rugby U20 Championship titles have been won by the Fiji Warriors and Fiji U20s respectively, while Fiji Drua secured the Australia National Rugby Championship.

France has dropped to 9th place on the rankings while Argentina is now in 10th place.

The top 10 teams in world rugby are :

1. New Zealand

2. Ireland

3. Wales

4. England

5. South Africa

6. Australia

7. Scotland

8. Fiji

9.France

10. Argentina.
