The Fiji Military Forces will be participating in the Southern Cross Multinational Military exercise which will be held in New Caledonia.
French Ambassador to Fiji Michel Djokovic says that this exercise is to plan, prepare and execute a humanitarian aid and delivery operation and also a non-combatant evacuation operation covering land, air and sea.
Djokovic says this exercise will include countries like Australia, New Zealand, Canada, United States of America, Tonga, United Kingdom, Vanuatu, Japan and Singapore.
He adds that 24 Fijian soldiers undertook a similar training last year also in New Caledonia and has seen the impact of the training after Cyclone Winston.
The exercise will be held in November.
