FijiFirst General Secretary Aiyaz Sayed‑Khaiyum says that National Federation Party Candidate Faizal Siddiq Koya needs to grow up.

This comes after Koya demanded a public apology from Sayed‑Khaiyum for the comments he made regarding Koya.

When questioned by Fijivillage on these allegations, Sayed‑Khaiyum adds that he does not respond to such superfluous comments.

Koya said that Sayed‑Khaiyum during a campaign meeting in Sabeto, Nadi and also during an interview has made some comments that are not true.

Koya says Sayed‑Khaiyum being the chief legal officer of the nation, without verifying, consulting and thoroughly investigating these allegations has defamed Koya in public.

He says Sayed‑Khaiyum has his phone number and office details and he should have called him directly and asked him about the allegations.

He adds that time and again, it is Sayed‑Khaiyum who states that others are bringing matters of race and religion in this campaign and yet he continuously utters such words without substance.

Koya also raised his concerns on an article written by a local media states that a man has heard Koya say that Sayed‑Khaiyum has about 8 ‑ 9 posts and he has placed his muslim people on these posts.

The NFP Candidate says that he is now compelled to report this matter to the Police and FICAC together with the Supervisor of Elections.
