FRA to fix Samabula Pedestrian Crossing lights next week

The Samabula Pedestrian Crossing lights are still not working as the Fiji Roads Authority says it would be fixed by next week.

The two pedestrian crossing lights from Calvary Temple towards the Fiji National University Samabula Campus and another from the FNU Campus towards the Samabula Police Station have not been working for sometime now.

We had raised this with the FRA team yesterday.

This is affecting hundreds of people everyday as this is a high traffic area and the pedestrian traffic lights need to work to give a clear indication when people can cross.

FRA’s Acting CEO Robert Sen says issues such as these should be brought to FRA’s notice and concerned people are to contact FRA on 5720.

$500,000 has been allocated for the maintenance of traffic signals in the 2017/2018 National Budget.
