Fiji Electricity Authority and the government are in discussions with neighboring countries to provide assistance for the restoration of power supply.
FEA’s Executive Projects and Public Relations Manager Karunesh Rao said the entire FEA network has suffered because of Tropical Cyclone Winston and it would take a lot of time for them to restore power with their current resources.
Rao said more information on this will be given later as things progress.
Rao has urged people to bear with them as their teams are around the country trying to restore power.
