About 50 locals to be employed at new Kokomo Island resort

At least 50 locals are expected to get jobs when Australian Property billionaire Lang Walker will open his first luxury resort on Fiji’s Kokomo Island in March next year.

This is expected to be Fiji’s most exclusive private island resort as it has been undergoing development in the last three years.

The island features rainforest, gardens and white sandy beaches as well as five exclusive, three to six‑bedroom residences which are already up for sale.

There will also be a variety of water activities and a tennis court, gym, spa and restaurants.

Villas in the project will be available for short stays and the accommodation includes a beachfront residence, five hilltop luxury residences with views across the island.

There are 21 beachfront villas each with their own pool and private walled garden.
