66 teams from 30 countries continue to battle it out on Day 3 of the world’s toughest race Eco-Challenge Fiji

66 teams from 30 countries are continuing to battle it out in the mountains, forests and rivers in Viti Levu on Day 3 of the world’s toughest race, Eco-Challenge Fiji.

Our correspondent for the eco-challenge, Tukini Cama is following the teams.

Team Namako and Team Tabu Soro are representing Fiji.

There are 350 participants.

As part of the race, teams have to progress 24 hours a day, uninterrupted, over 600 kilometres of mountains and jungle.

Famous television presenter and survival instructor, Bear Grylls who is the host and co‑producer of Eco-Challenge Fiji is in the country for the race. The show will be televised on Amazon Prime next year.

The prize money is $100,000 while the second runner up gets $50,000. $25,000 goes to the team that finishes in third place.
