60yr-old man reported to be missing at sea rescued by search party

A 60-year-old man of Nabuna Village of Koro Island who was reported to be missing at sea on Friday afternoon was found yesterday morning.

Police say that he had gone out fishing and was reported to have started drifting towards Vanua Levu due to heavy swells and strong winds.

A search party was activated with the search continuing into yesterday.

Police say at about 8.40am yesterday the man was found safe at sea between Makogai and Namena Island by a search party led by Turaga-ni-Koro of Nabuna village.
