Fiji Soccer Captain, Roy Krishna has extended his contract with Indian Super League club, ATK Mohun Bagan.
The extension sees Krishna, who was the League’s joint top scorer for the 2019/2020 season, remain in the Indian Super League until the conclusion of the 2020/21 season.
The star Fijian forward captained the ATK side in his first season on numerous occasions, including the final where ATK clinched a record third ISL title.
November is the tentative start date for the new season of the ISL at this time, with Krishna expected to join the club for pre-season training a month prior.
The 32 year old says he is excited to head back to India after a successful first season.
He says he had a wonderful first year both on and off the field in Kolkata,`and he loves being part of the culture that exists within the club.
Krishna says it will be a bit weird as they will have to play without fans in the new season.
Krishna is hopeful that border restrictions will ease and he will be able to travel in time for the pre-season training in October.
ATK Mohun Bagan is owned by Indian business tycoon, Sanjiv Goenka.
