The iTaukei Affairs Board is still awaiting the decision from the Prime Minister with regards to the suspension of the proposed village by-laws.
Permanent Secretary for the Ministry iTaukei Affairs, Naipote Katonitabua has confirmed to Fijivillage that the Board will not be making any other comments with regards to the suspension as they await the clarification.
Katonitabua had earlier highlighted that there was no time frame for them to complete this compiling process.
He said that they will need to go back to government and submit the recommendations before the way forward can be amended by government.
Katonitabua says this will all be government’s decision.
