Fees for new or renewal of standard e-passports will be $200 - Vuniwaqa

The fees for new or renewal of standard e-passports will be $200.

Director of Immigration, Nemani Vuniwaqa has made the announcement as the government launches the new Fijian e-passports from today.

The fees for the urgent processing of new or renewal of standard e-passports will be $275 while the fees for ordinary processing of emergency passports will also be $275.

Urgent processing of new or renewal of passports in the weekend or public holidays will be $608, ordinary processing of lost/stolen/damaged and valid passports will be $400, urgent processing of lost/stolen/damaged and valid passports will be $520.

Vuniwaqa confirms that all these fees are VAT Inclusive.

He says the e-passport is upgraded from a paper-based passport to the state of the art document with a contactless chip that contains enhanced security features. Vuniwaqa says this is done to ensure that Fiji’s passport is secure, safe and convenient.

Prime Minister, Voreqe Bainimarama will launch the e-passports at 11.30 am today.
