Adi Ulamila of Xavier breaks 16 year old Intermediate High Jump record, honours late dad

Adi Ulamila Reva of Xavier College from Ba set a new Intermediate Girls High Jump record of 1.66 metres to claim the gold medal in the 2026 Coca Cola Games.

The previous record of 1.65 metres was set in 2010 by Suva Grammar's Diama Maramanikaibau.

Adi Ulamila's achievement was more than just a number, a story of quiet strength, sacrifice, and love.

She says just two years ago, she lost her father and she carried his memory with her onto the field, turning her grief into determination.

She says every jump she took was not only for victory, but for her late father.

She also drew strength from her supportive family, who stood by her through every challenge and from her coach, who pushed her to her limits and reminded her of her potential even on the hardest days.
