More than 1000 youths in the Central Division were reminded of their crucial roles in society by Prime Minister, Sitiveni Rabuka during the opening of the drug prevention program at the FMF Gymnasium in Suva yesterday.
Rabuka says the aim is to increase awareness about the challenges facing youth in Fiji today, particularly the scourge of drugs.
Rabuka also highlighted the importance of youth development in Fiji and the Government's action to counter the threat of drugs which is also exacerbating the spread of HIV and sexually transmitted infections around the country.
He says every one of your dreams and passions is the driving force that will create a brighter future for Fiji.
The Prime Minister says no matter how great the challenges they face, they have the strong will and courage to overcome them.
