Young accounting students given recognition

Nine awards have been given to seven students in the Year 13 Top Accounting Student Awards for 2018 and 2019.

The Awards was organised by the Fiji Institute of Accountants in partnership with the Faculty of Business and Economics of the University of the South Pacific.

The top accounting students for Year 13 were identified by the Ministry of Education for their respective academic years.

FIA’s President, Nitesh Lal says the future of the profession is encouraging and strong and these students have shown their commitment not only to the subject of accounting but to learning.

The awards serve to encourage high school students to study accounting and contribute to the profession.

The Top Accounting Year 13 students for 2019 :

1. Pallavi Niharika Naidu – Western 2. Meenal Shweta Prasad – Central 3. Vinay Vinit Prasad – Northern 4. Manshika Chand – Northern 5. Jerran Peter Ufamarata – Eastern

The Top Accounting Year 13 students for 2018 :

 1. Rashika Chand – Northern 2. Vivek Kaushik Prasad – Central 3. Kalara Dimanivanua Talei Noa – Eastern 4. Anisah Firdaws – Western
