‘If you are a bully, you better watch out’.
That was the message by Education Minister Rosy Akbar while speaking at Marist Brothers High School during the launch of the VIA - Road Safety Education Program.
Akbar says the ministry is treating bullying, drug abuse and truancy cases very seriously.
She further says the Heads of Schools are mandated to report any cases of bullying within 24 hours.
Akbar says they do provide chances to students but if the Head of School tells them that a child is not changing in behavior, then they will definitely expel them from the school.
She adds they do not want to do this.
Akbar has also encouraged students to enjoy the sporting events but not to damage buses and stadiums.
