The Yellow Ribbon initiative has taken another step in trying to get inmates integrated back into communities.
Speaking to Fijivillage from Kadavu, Director Yellow Ribbon Elenani Vuru says the Yellow Ribbon team is trying to get engagement from grassroots level during their community outreach workshop.
More than 140 village representatives have come together from the 75 villages and the 9 districts in Kadavu to be part of this program.
Vuru says they have had positive responses from the province of Kadavu.
The Headman of Soso Village in Naceva, Taniela Toalevu says this initiative from the Corrections team has brought the province of Kadavu together to try and take a better approach in excepting ex-offenders back into our society.
