Yatu Lau Company purchases a building for island students

“Gone are the days of depending on relatives in Suva for accommodation for the students from the Lau Group”.

This is after the Yatu Lau Company decided to purchase a building in Vatoa Street, Suva as an accommodation hostel for the island students.

Roko Tui Lau Ratu Joseva Navakaroko said the submission to purchase a hostel was raised by the Women’s group in the Lau Provincial Council last year.

One of the concerns rose that students tend to look for accommodation with relatives and friends when attending Tertiary Education in the capital.

The new hostel is expected to be used soon.
