Xavier College retain Ba Zone title

Xavier College have retained the Coca-Cola Ba Zone athletics meet title after dominating the boys and girls divisions.

In the boys division, Xavier College won 24 gold, 17 silver and 16 bronze, AD Patel College finished second with 8 gold, 12 silver and 9 bronze while Ba Methodist High School are third with 8 gold, 7 silver and 7 bronze.

In the girls division, Xavier College finished with 15 gold, 14 silver and 10 bronze, Ba Methodist High School are in second place with 8 gold, 3 silver and 8 bronze while Ba Sangam College are in third place with 8 gold, 3 silver and 5 bronze.

Looking at some of the results, Verevou Rakuro of Khalsa College won gold in the Sub-Junior javelin, Pita Kuricuva of Xavier College won gold in the Senior Boys long jump, Mosese Koroitunidau of Xavier College won gold in Senior Boys 400 metres, Alafina Volavola of Ba Methodist High School won gold in the Senior Girls 800 metres while John Raju of Xavier College won gold in the Senior Boys 1,500 metres.
