Xavier College successfully defends Secondary School IDC girls title after beating Ba Sanatan 1-0

Xavier College has successfully defended their Digicel Fiji Secondary School IDC girls open grade title after beating Ba Sanatan College 1-0 in extra time.

They have won the title for the third time in a row.

Susana Lewakeli was the hero of the match as she scored a last minute goal in extra time.

Lewakeli has thanked the team for working hard and achieving their goal today.

She has dedicated the goal to all the supporters, the students of Xavier College and their parents.

Xavier coach Krishneel Singh says their motto was keep walking forward and that is what the girls did.

He says this was also his message before the beginning of the extra spell.

Meanwhile, the U19 final between Labasa College and Kamil Muslim College is underway.

In other finals earlier today, Lautoka Central College won the U15 title for the first time after beating Labasa College 2-1 in extra time and Labasa Sangam beat Vashisht Muni College 1-0 to win boys U17 title after 11 years.
