Queensland Reds captain Liam Wright is confident that star recruit James O’Connor will return from injury for Saturday’s Super Rugby clash with the Bulls.

O’Connor missed last weekend’s match against the Crusaders in Christchurch due to an ankle injury.

Wright is sure that O'Connor will be pushing for selection this week.

He says O’Connor is looking good for this weekend but if not they have more capable players.

Even without O’Connor, the Reds put in a strong display against the New Zealand powerhouse last weekend, scoring four tries to three in a 24-20 defeat.

Wright adds they do not want to be brave and lose all the time as they want to get some positive results.

The Reds will take on the Bulls at 8.15 pm Saturday.
