The Fiji Water Flying Fijian's clash against Japan in the final round of the Punjas Pacific Battle Series this weekend will not just be the decider for the winner of the tournament but also will determine their place in the World Rugby rankings.
Fiji is currently sitting in 10th place with 76.85 points just 0.73 points ahead of the Cherry Blossoms who are in 12th place with 76.13 points.
A win this weekend will see them keep their place in the top 10 while a loss could result in them slipping back to 12th place and if the Manu Samoa side secures a win over Tonga, it could see Fiji possibly slipping further back down to 13th place.
The Flying Fijians will now focus on building on from their bonus-point win over Samoa last weekend and will be looking to keep a clean sheet in this series and try to maintain their spot in the top 10.
On the other hand, Japan now will look to back their performance up from last week's close win over Tonga and secure a second win of the tournament in front of their home fans which could hopefully give them a chance to climb up back into the top 10.
The Flying Fijians will take on Japan at 10.15pm Saturday in Tokyo.
