It is important that we congregate and do things together as reflected in the Bible for the common good of our communities and the nation.
This was stated by Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka while addressing the members of the Vuna Circuit of the Rewa Methodist Division during their Prayer Breakfast event yesterday.
Speaking in the iTaukei language, the Head of the Coalition highlighted the significance of not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing and encouraging one another with love and good works.
He adds that we must continue to pray together, congregate in church more frequently, attend to the needs of the vanua and more importantly, do things with love and concern for one another.
Rabuka further says that we must continue to reflect on our actions and attitudes and always choose to follow the right directions in life.
The event, held at Sawani Village, was an opportunity to further strengthen the spiritual lives of the villagers and also bring them together to raise funds for their circuit projects, one of which is commercial farming.
Circuit Minister, Reverend Inia Mavai conveyed their appreciation to the Prime Minister for availing himself given his very busy schedule and reaffirmed their support to the government of the day.
Reverend Inia says that apart from focusing on spiritual and socio-economic developments, they also make it their business to pray daily for the government and its leaders, and the people of Fiji.
As part of the event, a church service was held followed by morning tea and a brief talanoa session where the villagers had the opportunity to raise their issues and concerns directly to the Prime Minister.
