Work on the new Nausori market and bus stand is progressing well and the Nausori Town Council is hoping the two new facilities will be ready by March next year.
Nausori Town Council special administrator Napolioni Masirewa said the structure for the new market has started to take shape and by August the contractors are expected to put on the roof.
He said some civil works are also required at the site as part of the foundation is weak.
The Nausori Town Council signed a $6 million loan offer from the Fiji Development Bank for this project.
This was in addition to the $3 million that was contributed by government.
