Construction work on the Public Rental Board housing flats in Raiwai is expected to recommence next week.
Housing Authority chairperson Colonel Mosese Tikoitoga said the Chinese government gave a $9 million grant to complete the funding of the $18 million project as initially the flats were budgeted for $9 million however it was not enough.
Colonel Tikoitoga said they will sign a new contract with China Railway Group this afternoon.
The building will have one and two bedroom type flats.
The maximum occupancy for the one bedroom flat is 4 and 8 for the two bedroom flats.
A body has been been found in an empty residential property in Rewa Street.
