Vodafone Fiji Bati coach Wise Kativerata says Panthers utility back, 20 year old Sunia Turuva and 19 year old Roosters second row Joshua Wong have done well in their Rugby League World Cup debut last weekend.
Turava who scored a try against the Kangaroos has been in fine form since making his debut for the Bati earlier this year while Wong played the full 80 minutes and provided some strong carries during the game.
Wong was dubbed by NRL great Phil Gould as the NRL big thing with his skills and strong running.
Wong, originally from New Zealand, joined the Roosters as a 14-year-old.
Gould compared him Boyd Cordner’s talent who went on to have a decorated career with the Roosters.
The Fiji Bati will take on Italy at 1.30am Sunday.
