The eight women who have lost their lives to domestic violence in Fiji this year were remembered at a candlelight vigil in Suva last night organised by the Fiji Women’s Crisis Centre.
More than forty people attended the vigil and united around the message of ensuring that all Fijians must work together to ensure that there’s no more violence.
Also in attendance was the Minister for Women, Children and Poverty Alleviation Mereseini Vuniwaqa as well as NFP parliamentarian Lenora Qereqeretabua.
If you need help, you can call the domestic violence helpline on any network on 1560. The helpline is operational 24/7.
