The Women in Business Board of Directors say they are appalled at the inability of our legislation to allow a fair trial for women.
They have made the statement after a recent ruling in the Magistrates Court where charges were withdrawn in the case of business executive, Pramesh Sharma due to the statute of limitations which is when criminal charges can no longer be filed.
In a statement, the Women in Business Board of Directors say they note with great concern that there is a statute of limitation for reporting sexual harassment cases.
They are demanding that the legislation needs to change as soon as possible.
