Women deserve inclusion in every aspect of their lives – Nabua Nari Sabha member

Women deserve inclusion in every aspect of their lives, and I also question why the world assumes that women are weak when they are capable enough to run their families and work in a male-dominated field.

This was highlighted by Gyan Prabha Nand who is a member of the Nabua Nari Sabha of Sanatan Dharm Pratinidhi Sabha of Fiji as they look forward to celebrating International Women's Day tomorrow.

Nand says International Women's Day is to celebrate, acknowledge and appreciate women, and to remind people that women are progressing well.

She says inclusion will encourage other girls and women to do better and prove themselves in various fields, and this will require every woman to guide and assist each other to move forward with their aspirations.

Nand further says a country is not developed if women are left behind because they are a crucial element of the community that cannot be overlooked.

She says the Sanatan Dharm Pratinidhi Sabha of Fiji is a great example of gender equality and women empowerment, as they have given women management positions with equal opportunity.

She adds that this allows them to freely speak and give their views regarding religious activities.
