The complainant in the rape trial of a former proposed candidate of the National Federation Party has revealed that she was scared on the night of the alleged incident as the accused had told her that he will kill her if she yelled.
The 54-year-old woman is currently giving evidence in the Suva High Court.
The woman told the court that the man pushed her at times and forced her to have sex with him.
The woman who is the sister-in-law of the accused also told the court that the 66 year old man had told her that he has already slept with some Fijian girls.
It is alleged the man raped his sister-in-law in Nasinu on the 28th of June last year.
It is alleged the man approached the woman and asked if he could spend the night at her house as he was too tired after a wedding and could not go back home.
The man allegedly started knocking on the woman's bedroom door in the middle of the night and then forcefully got into the room.
He then allegedly raped the woman.
The trial continues before High Court Judge, Justice Thushara Rajasinghe.
